About the Rahmah Foundation
- The Rahmah Foundation is a women-led non profit educational organization focused on providing holistic programming for Muslim girls and women. For nearly 20 years, our goal has been to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible, taught by qualified female teachers who carry traditional training and ijaza (scholarly certification). We have partnered with leading female scholars from around the world and served thousands of women and girls.
Our History
- The Foundation grew out our desire to focus specifically on the needs of women guided and encouraged by scholars like Shaykh Hamza Yusuf and Imam Zaid Shakir. In 2005, The Rahmah Foundation was established as an independent organization. Since then, we’ve held classes and retreats where sisters learn their faith directly from knowledgeable female teachers who have studied with authentic scholars around the world.
Our First Umrah Journey
- Alhamdulillah, after years of teaching and community work, we’re excited to be leading our very first Umrah group. This is a special opportunity for sisters to travel together, visit the blessed cities of Makkah and Madinah, and learn along the way with our teachers. It’s not just about performing Umrah — it’s about building sisterhood, reflecting together, and experiencing the sacred journey as a community.
